Job Description
Sales Coordinator (Full Time - MAT Leave Contract - 12 Months)
Showcase your outstanding interpersonal skills as a Sales Coordinator, where you will provide organizational and administrative support to the team and memorable service to your guests. We are looking for a detail-oriented, multi-tasker that is passionate about hospitality and providing exceptional service.
What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Sales and Catering Managers and Director of Sales & Marketing, the responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
· Ensure prompt and courteous service is extended to both internal and external clients
· Maintain an orderly work environment
· Have a complete understanding and knowledge of hotel’s services and facilities
· Assist in qualifying leads, and entering bookings into Opera
· Manage and delegate incoming RFP’s through multiple channels
· Assist with preparing proposals and contracts
· Assist with floorplans and BEO’s
· Prepare files for turnover to Catering Service Team
· Respond to clients within one hour and adhere to Fairmont’s standards
· Conduct client site inspections to showcase the Hotel’s guestrooms and meeting space
· Maintain current sales and promotional literature
· Coordinate with other departments within the hotel to ensure distribution of important information
· Attend all sales communication meetings
· Provide administrative duties as required by Sales and Catering Manager(s)
· Assist with preparation and follow-up of sales trips
· Participate in and prepare for client entertainment activities
· Prepare documentation for ALL Meeting Planner program
· Assist in month-end reporting
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
· Previous administrative experience required. Hotel experience is an asset
· Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications and or relevant computer applications required
· University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
· Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
· Highly responsible & reliable
· Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents

Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000 CAD Gross Annually
