Job Description
· Reserves various requests which come through different mediums.
· Organizes reservation records either by date of arrival or alphabetically.
· Prepares both confirmation and cancellation letters regarding reservations.
· Has prior knowledge about hotels, trains, airlines etc.
· Tracks room facilities.
· Rates hotels so that clients can easily access them.
· Processes reservations through telephone, mail, fax or any other medium.
· Makes reservations for travel agents, airlines, hotel services etc.
· Makes cancellation and modification of reservations.
· Appearance should be sophisticated and friendly.
· Arranges programs for clients.
· Should be aware of all the processes.
· Prepares documents for front office use.
· Books, cancels, or alters bookings.
· Has complete knowledge of all the categories they handle.
· Should be able to handle crisis periods.
· Should have priority list of all the categories under him/her.
· To predict that all activities and to be purchased all equipment and belongings may create disease for the environment, to join all activities which is organized to protect biological diversity and shares the responsibilities, shares the individual responsibilities in order to increase environment knowledge and to carry on necessary trainings. To provide minimum consumption currently used all stuffs and equipment (paper, printed out etc.).
· To implement necessary warnings and departmental trainings in order to save energy inside the facility. To carry on implementing decisions which were taken for saving energy. To predict effects of environment and efficiency of energy on purchased equipment.
· To implement his responsibilities in order to eliminate and collect waste in a proper way, reduce environmental pollution and harmful effects to the environment.
· Carries out all responsibilities related to the quality management systems implemented at the facilities
· Carries out all other duties assigned by managers and hotel management not specified in the job description.
Qualifications
· Education: At least a high school or vocational diploma
· Experience: At least 2 years of work experience
· Foreign Language: Sufficient level of foreign language knowledge to keep track of related literature.
· Courses and Training: Prior attendance in courses and seminars in the field.
· Computer Literacy: MS Office applications, Front Office computer system.
· Special Qualifications: Has knowledge of the legislation / practices / systems in the related field. Performs several actions that are correlated and concern more than one group of actions specifically aimed at the targets. Performs specific sequential activities that are related to each other.
