Ibis Melbourne Glen Waverley is situated 25 minutes east of Melbourne CBD and it offers 155 rooms, Ibis Kitchen & Bar, and 4 flexible meeting rooms catering from 4 delegates up to 120 delegates. Our hotel is the gateway to the magnificent Dandenong Ranges, Yarra Valley Food & Wine District, the Mornington Peninsula and Phillip Island.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Night Manager (Full-Time) to join our team and lead our night operations. As the Night Manager, you will ensure smooth and efficient hotel operations during the overnight shift, delivering a seamless guest experience and ensuring the safety and security of our guests and team.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee the nightly operations of the hotel, ensuring all departments function effectively
· Manage guest relations and handle any complaints or issues that arise during the night shift
· Conduct night audits, ensuring financial transactions and reports are accurate
· Ensure the safety and security of all hotel guests and staff by conducting regular property checks
· Support the front office, ensuring exceptional service and efficiency in check-ins, check-outs, and guest queries
· Lead and motivate the night team, including front office and security staff
· Coordinate with other departments to ensure guests’ needs are met
· Manage emergency situations, including medical issues, fire alarms, or security concerns
· Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and regulations
Qualifications
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel environment
· Strong leadership and team management skills
· Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to guest service
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Knowledge of hotel management systems (e.g., Opera, and basic accounting skills for night audits)
· Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and public holidays
· A professional and approachable manner, with the ability to stay calm under pressure
· Current First Aid and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certifications are an advantage
· Valid rights to work in Australia
