Job Description
· Keeping hotel financial records in order
· Processes invoices, transactions, room charges, refunds, and prepares checkout bills
· Monitors and checks accounting ledger
· Verifying that all accounts are balanced and supported by documentation
· Audits financial statement accounts such as receivables and revenues
· Posts room taxes and charges
· Processes discounts and vouchers
· Tracks room availability and occupancy
· Prepares daily reports and summary cash balance
· Checking guests in and out of the hotel.
· Handling/Responding to guests' needs, requests, and complaints.
· Answering the phone and making reservations.
· Summarizing each night's operations, and listing any follow-up tasks for management.
· Following End of Day Procedures.
Qualifications
· Minimum 1 year of bookkeeping and front desk experience
· Basic math and accounting skills
· Must have Night Audit experience
· Proficient in MS Office, PMS, and CRM software
· Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
· Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
· Strong interpersonal skills
· High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or related field is a plus
· Past experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus.
· Analytical mind, with strong attention to detail and an affinity for numbers.
· Good organizational and time-management skills.
· Self-motivated, proactive work ethic.
· Strong aptitude for customer service.
