Sofitel Singapore City Centre, an iconic hotel which opens in October 2017 will form part of a mixed-use development at Tanjong Pagar Centre, a multi-billion dollar development, which will become Singapore’s tallest building at 290 meters set around landscaped parkland and direct MRT station access.
The 223-room Sofitel Singapore City Centre will offer chic designed rooms, 4 Food and Beverage options, a ballroom, and several meeting rooms, fitness and pool facilities.
Job Description
· Provide exceptional service to guests by promptly welcoming and courteously serving guests in a can-do fashion, engaging in polite conversation when time allows.
· Be fully informed of beverage and menu offerings, in anticipation of guest needs and to deliver highly attentive service.
· Prepare drinks for cocktail service orders and have a passion for mixology. Maintain a safe, clean environment, which includes managing people with discretion and professionalism and occasionally diffusing difficult situations.
· Ensure the bar and its equipment are clean and fully functional
· Responsible for supervising ambassadors that are preparing and serving beverages at the hotel bar.
· Brief ambassadors on the preparation methods, service and the contents of the drinks list.
· Enforce safety regulations and sanitation standards for the storage areas for beverages.
· Creative development of signature beverage offering
· Prepare cocktails and other drinks for the guests.
· Ensure that the drinks, cocktails and other beverages in the bar are in accordance to the hotel standard drink recipes.
· Ensure that the operations in the bar are up to the Sofitel standards and service culture.
· Attend to guest complaints, requests and inquiries regarding the beverage and services.
· Lead and maintain a positive working environment
· Interact with customers, take orders for drinks and snacks.
· Plan and present bar menu.
Qualifications
· Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably including 5 star experience.
· Projects professional image at all times through personal presentation / interpersonal skills.
· Desire and ability to train and develop staff.
· Maintains awareness of industry trends in service, product and presentation.
· Initiates contacts and establishes rapport easily.
· Organises time and work efficiently.
· Effective numeracy, verbal and written communication skills.
· Appreciates and maintains an effective outlet for stress.
· Willingness to work weekends and public holidays as part of the job role.
· Has the aptitude and willingness to undertake further development with Sofitel.
