Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Laundry Attendant to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Laundry Attendant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation for our linens and uniforms, contributing to our guests' overall satisfaction.
· Manage daily laundry operations for linens and uniforms, adhering to established cycles and proper textile care procedures
· Safely handle chemicals and operate laundry equipment, following health and safety regulations
· Maintain and troubleshoot laundry machinery, reporting any malfunctions to supervisors promptly
· Ensure proper sorting, washing, drying, and folding of various textiles according to specific care instructions
· Maintain a clean, organized work area and complete daily checklists
· Handle lost and found items according to hotel procedures
· Participate in monthly inventory counts and maintain accurate logbooks
· Meet schedules and deadlines as agreed upon with management
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of clean linens and uniforms
· Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation
Qualifications
· 1-3 years of experience as a Laundry Attendant in a 4-5 star hotel or similar establishment
· Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality (preferred)
· Thorough knowledge of laundry operations and proper textile care procedures
· Demonstrated ability to safely handle chemicals and operate laundry equipment
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
· Excellent time management and organizational skills
· Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
· Basic understanding of English language
· Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
· Strong teamwork and communication skills
· Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment
