Pullman & Mercure King George Square is a large vibrant 438 room twin towered hotel which acts as a sanctuary for leisure and business travelers. Located opposite King George Square, City Hall and ideally situated in the heart of Brisbane CBD the hotel has some of the largest conference spaces in Brisbane incorporating 2 ballrooms. The hotel also features some amazing and extremely popular venues of Goldfinch Restaurant and Street Cafe, Sixteen Antlers Rooftop Bar as well as KG Bar, Expresso Bar and an Executive Lounge.

Job Description

Join our team, where we pride ourselves on providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our guests. Our kitchen is at the heart of our hospitality, and we are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Steward to help us maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

·  Providing the highest level of attention to all aspects of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the Kitchen.
·  Assist with the proper storage and organization of kitchen supplies and equipment.
·  Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, including dishwashing stations and storage areas.
·  Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
·  Ensure that all dishware, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly. washed/ cleaned and sanitized.
·  Dispose of kitchen waste and maintain recycling protocols.
·  Follow and adhere to all HACCAP hygiene, ALLSafe and WHS requirements.

Qualifications

A bit about you:

·  Great energy and a “Find the YES!” positive attitude.
·  Commercial dishwashing experience (desirable)
·  Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environments
·  Good time management skills and a willingness to learn.
·  Have a good work ethic and team player with a flexible attitude
·  Professional, well-groomed appearance, demonstrating pride in presentation.
·  Flexibility and ability to work a variety of shifts including days, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and on public holidays
