Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Jr Sous Chef specializing in Cold Kitchen to join our culinary team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Jr Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen operations, focusing on the preparation and presentation of cold dishes, appetizers, and salads.

·  Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in managing the cold kitchen section
·  Prepare and present high-quality cold dishes, including salads, appetizers, and desserts
·  Develop and implement new menu items in collaboration with the culinary team
·  Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
·  Manage inventory and minimize food waste in the cold kitchen
·  Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in cold food preparation techniques
·  Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
·  Assist in cost control and budget management for the cold kitchen section
·  Collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth overall operations
·  Participate in menu planning and seasonal menu changes

Qualifications

·  Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution
·  2-3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with a focus on cold kitchen operations
·  Strong knife skills and proficiency in various food preparation techniques
·  In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
·  Current food safety certification
·  Experience in menu planning and recipe development
·  Proficiency in inventory management and food cost control
·  Excellent organizational and time management skills
·  Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities
·  Creativity and passion for culinary arts, particularly in cold dish preparation
·  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
·  Knowledge of various cuisines, with a focus on cold dishes and international flavors
·  Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools specific to cold food preparation
·  Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
