Key tasks
Under the general guidance and supervision of the Director of Talent & Culture, the Hotel Nurse provides medical services for all employees and guests in accordance with Hotel Policies and Procedures, and established medical practices.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensures that all Dubai Municipality and Health Authority guidelines are strictly observed and adhered to.
- Attend to all emergencies, give first aid and in the case of serious incidents accompany colleagues to hospital.
- Promote Health and Safety programs, including injury prevention, disability long term and short term and coaching departments on the hotel’s modified work program.
- Maintain good working relationship with the management team while maintaining confidentiality and quality patient care.
- Control the accuracy of sick leave authorization forms and approve for payroll and audit purposes.
- Implement and maintain all administration regarding health care, sick leave documentation and medical filing for all employees.
- Ensure the absolute hygiene of the clinic and that its equipment and tools used for medical treatment are disinfected and sterilized.
- To ensure Health Card records for all employees are kept up to date.
- Send patients to hospital if the diagnosis requires.
- Purchase the adequate quantity of medical supplies from officially recognized pharmacies for the clinic and maintain the records of expenditure for audit purposes.
- Maintain all First Aid Boxes so they are adequately stocked.
- Provide primary health service to all employees and, if required, guests in the Hotel.
- Track the employees visiting the clinic daily.
- Set up and conducts various training programs on personal hygiene, kitchen safety procedures, food handling, and basic first aid including defibrillator usage.

- Ability to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace – fluency in English is required; any other additional language skills is and advantage.
- Good communication skills
Specific Requirements:
- Nursing Degree and Registered Nurse with DHA is mandatory.
- 1-2 years' related experience the hospitality sector and similar property is preferred.
- Previous GCC experience is required.
- Display of comprehensive computer skills.
- Well trained and skilled on the usage of medical equipment.
- Must be well acquainted with the emergency medical procedures.
- Knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, Health & Safety aspects.
- High levels of organizational skills and efficiency.
