Job Description

The Grounds Supervisor will be responsible for:

·  Overseeing daily operations of the grounds department, including staff supervision, training, and performance management.
·  Managing and maintaining the resort's landscape, including trees, flowers, shrubs, and weed control.
·  Conducting regular property inspections, preparing reports, and liaising with the Chief Engineer regarding departmental requirements.
·  Ensuring compliance with safety procedures, environmental regulations, and proper use of protective equipment.
·  Managing inventory, equipment, irrigation systems, and departmental budget, including payroll and effective rostering.
·  Conducting property tours and representing Fairmont Royal Pavilion professionally at all times.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

·  University Degree or Associate degree in Landscaping, Horticulture, or a closely related field
·  Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team structure
·  Strong service-oriented mindset is imperative
·  Proven ability to manage competing demands through effective prioritisation
·  Exceptional organisational skills coupled with superior communication and interpersonal abilities
·  Demonstrated proficiency in problem-solving and critical thinking
·  Proven track record in building and maintaining professional relationships
·  Legal authorisation to work in Barbados is mandatory
