Fairmont Lodge Host - Seasonal
You are an ambassador for the exceptional service that are hallmarks of our food & beverage experience. Serve up holiday cheer! You are the beginning of an exceptional guest experience. As a Host, you will make our guests Feel Welcome from the moment they arrive!

What you will be doing:

·  Consistently offer a professional, friendly greeting and engaging service
·  Understand the Server’s tasks in the outlet
·  Understand shift-end reports in the outlet and the Point of Sale System
·  Understand all reservation systems and iPad systems for seating charts
·  Assist guests regarding food and beverage menu items in an informative and helpful way
·  Know all menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods
·  Follow brand policies, procedures, and service standards
·  Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
·  Other duties as assigned
·  Follow hotel time and attendance policy
·  Follow grooming and attire guidelines
·  Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

·  Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, or reservations preferred
·  Previous Point of Sale System experience an asset, but not required
·  Excellent communication and organizational skills
·  Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
·  Highly responsible & reliable
·  Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
·  Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
·  Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
·  Ability to speak, read, and write in English
·  Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): 

·  Constant standing and walking throughout the shift
·  Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
·  Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
