Job Description
Summary
The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong understanding of the hospitality industry. This role involves providing high-quality English language instruction to our staff, enhancing their communication skills to better serve our international guests.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement English language training programs tailored to the needs of hotel staff.
· Conduct individual and group lessons focusing on conversational English, hospitality-specific vocabulary, and professional communication skills.
· Assess the English proficiency levels of staff and create personalized learning plans.
· Prepare and deliver engaging and interactive lessons using a variety of instructional techniques and resources.
· Monitor and evaluate the progress of students, providing feedback and additional support as needed.
· Collaborate with hotel management to identify training needs and adjust programs accordingly.
· Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.
· Stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies and industry trends.
Qualifications
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field certification preferred.
· Proven experience as an English instructor, preferably in a hospitality or corporate setting.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
· Proficiency in using educational technology and resources.
· Organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience working in the hospitality industry.
· Multilingual abilities, with a preference for additional languages relevant to the hotel’s guest demographics.
· Knowledge of cultural nuances and communication styles in diverse international settings.
· Ability to develop and design new and unique content.
· Multicultural awareness and ability to work with people from diverse cultures.
· Demonstrated teamwork communication including ability to coach and deliver feedback in a constructive manner.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
· Strong management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
· Must be a highly capable user of Microsoft office programs including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
· Fluency in verbal and written English is essential.
· Prior experience in pre-opening is a plus.
