Job Description
·
Operation of kitchen equipment, air-con system, building automation, fire protection system, electrical panel, plumbing equipment, boiler, heater and related sub-system to run the Hotels’ operation.
·
Responsible for preventive maintenance, breakdown repair and constructive work.
·
Responsible for capital upgrading, minor project upgrading of equipment and alteration to the system.
·
Propose and recommend upgrading, improvement work and energy saving project.
·
Conduct safety inspection of kitchen, public area, guest room, stores and follow-up all related works.
·
Carry out generator testing, lift homing test and fire alarm test.
·
Liaise with users and operating departments for shutdown and servicing.
·
Carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the Management of the Hotel and department.
·
Work with professional Engineer, Designer, Consultant, Architect and Contractor on upgrading project and temporary supply for exhibitions and conventions.
·
Assist Technicians to carry out repair work.
·
Supervise Contractor’s work; hold regular meetings to ensure quality standard is maintained and to meet deadline.
Qualifications
Profile
Knowledge and Experience
·
Must be a degree holder in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and duly licensed by the Professional Regulations Commission.
·
Should have at least 2-3 years or more of working experience in Engineering Repair and Maintenance.
·
Previous duty engineer’s post in a luxury hotel setting is an asset.
·
Strong Engineering technical knowledge.

·
Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
