Job Description

Job Summary:

As a Demi Chef de Partie in the MICE Kitchen, you will assist in the preparation and execution of high-quality dishes for events, meetings, and conferences. Your role is vital in ensuring that all culinary offerings meet the high standards expected by our guests and contribute to the seamless operation of the MICE kitchen. You will work closely with the Chef de Partie and other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· 
Food Preparation & Cooking:  Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes for MICE events, ensuring high quality and consistency in line with Raffles & Fairmont Doha’s standards.

· 
Station Management:  Manage your designated station, ensuring efficient operation, proper mise en place, and timely service of dishes.

· 
Hygiene & Safety:  Adhere to all hygiene and safety regulations, ensuring the cleanliness of your work area and proper handling of food and kitchen equipment.

· 
Support & Collaboration:  Work effectively with the Chef de Partie and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and coordination during busy periods and events.

· 
Menu Assistance:  Contribute to the development and preparation of menu items for MICE events, including special requests and dietary requirements.

· 
Inventory Management:  Assist in monitoring inventory levels, handling stock, and minimizing waste in your section.

· 
Training & Development:  Support the training and mentoring of junior kitchen staff and trainees, promoting a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

· 
Experience:  Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within a high-end hotel or restaurant environment.

· 
Education:  Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

· 
Skills:

·  Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
·  Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
·  Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
·  Creative and passionate about culinary arts.
·  Good communication and interpersonal skills.
