Job Description

In this role you will:

Under the supervision of the Executive Chef and senior chefs:

·  Prepare meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, functions, and buffet service.
·  Maintain a clean and hygienic workspace while ensuring high-quality and well-presented products.
·  Implement and maintain strict stock rotation procedures to minimize wastage. Ensure effective stock control.
·  Keep all working areas clean and tidy. Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced, and cleaned. 
·  Organize assigned sections to ensure efficient and productive operations.
·  Ensure all food produced adheres to kitchen recipes and standards.
·  Check that all food is stored and handled correctly according to current food health and hygiene regulations.
·  Monitor daily kitchen food and product needs and inform the supervisor well in advance.
·  Assist and liaise with the chef on duty as required.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities: 

·  Demonstrates a keen eye for detail and a commitment to exceptional service.
·  Capable of working effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
·  Able to work independently and show initiative in a dynamic environment.
·  Highly self-motivated and energetic.
·  Strong focus and enthusiasm for hotel operations.
·  Confident and articulate in communication, with excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and networking skills.
·  Effective time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently.
·  Exhibits strong personal integrity.
·  Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of team members.
·  Adaptable and able to embrace and respond effectively to change.
·  Exemplifies Accor values and the Heartist culture.

Unlimited working rights in Australia is a must. Work visa sponsorship is not provided.
