Job Description
Sales Manager
Through your passion and motivation, you will sell memorable experiences to guests who will stay in your property. You are professional and knowledgeable about your property, and you are naturally strong at building strong relationships with your guests.
You will take ownership over, and develop the Manchester Marketplace for our centrally located hotels, Novotel Manchester Centre and Ibis 96 Portland Street. Our exclusive M1 postcode and strong reputation for guest service will assist you in developing new business opportunities whilst assisting in the management of the Hotels Corporate, Leisure and MICE accounts.
You will be a vision caster and will work with our leadership team to develop the hotel’s proactive sales strategy.
You will solicit group, transient and/or banquet business, and consistently achieve exciting sales objectives.
You will establish parameters, quotes and negotiate prices and close contracts.
Participate in tradeshows, conventions and promotional events.
Maintain accounts, contact, activity and business details.
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
· A natural skill for networking, with excellent presentation skills
· Using initiative, and taking a dynamic, self motivated approach to challenges. "No" is never the answer.
· Knowledge and awareness of the Manchester Marketplace
· A proven track record in Hospitality or Corporate Sales
· Strong sales and negotiation skills
· Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
· Experience of setting, and then delivering on challenging goals and targets.
