Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Chef De Partie with a passion for South Asian cuisine to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting authentic South Asian dishes while maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare, cook, and present a variety of South Asian dishes, including but not limited to curries, tandoor items, biryanis, and street food delicacies.
· Ensure all dishes are prepared in accordance with the restaurant’s quality standards and guest preferences.
· Collaborate with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to develop new menu items and seasonal specialties.
· Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with local regulations and HACCP principles.
· Supervise junior kitchen staff, ensuring proper cooking techniques and adherence to recipes.
· Manage daily mise en place for the South Asian cuisine section, ensuring everything is ready for service.
· Monitor food stock levels and manage inventory for your section, reducing waste and ensuring fresh ingredients are used.
· Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff on South Asian cooking techniques.
· Ensure efficient kitchen operations and assist in maintaining a positive, team-oriented environment.
Qualifications
· Proven experience as a Chef De Partie, with a focus on South Asian cuisine in a high-volume restaurant or hotel.
· In-depth knowledge of South Asian ingredients, spices, and cooking methods.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality dishes consistently.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and leadership skills.
· Relevant culinary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
· Understanding of kitchen health, safety, and hygiene standards.
