Purpose


As the Area Conference & Events Sales Manager , be responsible for delivering high performing outcomes for the Conference & Events Sales Northern Hub team across a network of Extended Stay properties. You will exhibit proactive lead generation, maximise commercial outcomes, and execute sales strategy, along with engaging C&E sales team members to deliver outstanding guest experiences and driving profitable outcomes for the property network. 


 


Primary Responsibilities

·  Respond to conference & event enquiries across properties, preparing proposals and driving conversion.
·  Lead, develop, and motivate on‑property C&E teams to deliver consistent operational and service excellence.
·  Oversee site inspections, client communication, and event documentation to ensure seamless execution.
·  Collaborate with operational teams through regular BEO and planning meetings to ensure events meet brand and client expectations.
·  Identify revenue opportunities and support the implementation of sales and marketing initiatives across the area.
·  Maintain accurate financial administration, including invoicing, deposits, billing checks, and forecasting.

 


Skills & Experience

·  Experience in conference & events sales leadership, ideally within hotels or resorts.
·  Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop high‑performing teams.
·  High proficiency in event systems, reporting, and operational coordination.
·  Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder‑management, and customer‑service skills.
·  Outstanding organisation and time‑management, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
·  Flexible availability, strong attention to detail, and a genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience.
