Maintenance Technician 1 :

This is an entry level position which will provide on the job training to the right individual who posseses a mechanical aptitude and is comfortable using a variety of tools and applying basic knowledge of several trades (including plumbing, electrical, general building and machine maintenance).

This position will be assigned to provide support toour 2nd shift (2:30pm - 11:30pm). Initial training will take place on 1st shift for a period of 3-6 months.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Repairing and replacing defective parts in various types of Industrial Machines
· Installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of components of machinery and equipment.
· Performing preventive maintenance of Industrial Machines electrical systems, and mechanical components.
· Testing solid-state circuitry to find defective parts in digital and analog equipment and replacing defective parts.
· Troubleshoot and repair CNC 3 and 5 axis machinery
· Reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics.
· Coordinating activities with other divisions and sections.
· Work from instructions, using sketches, blueprints, and drawings.
· Ensure accuracy and timliness of preventiative maintenance duties for assigned areas.

Skills and Specifications:

· Ability to identify and implement efficient paths of action to finish the assigned work.
· Ability to exercise independent judgment.
· Will be trained in all Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures for a variety of power sources included but not limited to: electricity, air, gas, Vaccum and steam.
· Ability to establish and maintain solid working relationships with others.
· Should be able to test, diagnose, and repair various devices.
· Ability to troubleshoot and repair PLC’s and replace associated devices, Sensors, Switches, Monitors, Valves, Etc.
· Able to receive forklift training and certification within 30 days of hire.
· Will be trained to operate a variety of machines and equipment such as an electric welder, gas cutting tourch, metal cutting machines, scissor lift, forklift and articulating boom lift.
· Able to lift 50 lbs with proper safety measures and assistance.

Experience and Qualifications:

· Experience with hand tools, power tools, basic repairs, general plumbing, wall repair, 110 volt electrical outlets, switches and lighting.
· Ability to read schematics and blue prints in order to perform maintenance tasks.
· Strong mechanical aptitude.
· Preferred: experience with hydraulic presses, cutting machines, CNC machines.
· Excellent communication and organization skills.
· Must be able to read, write and communicate fluently in the English language.
· Will need to be prepared for and pass a series of written tests in order to operate different machines, tools and equipment.
