Job description

The Client Services Specialist functions as the back bone of our account management teams working collaboratively to meet and exceed client expectations. They interact regularly with both clients and insurance carriers to hammer out insurance programs that provide the best coverage protection at a reasonable cost. If you enjoy actively preparing for client meetings, researching and gathering industry and competitor data, coordinating important information, working on new and renewal marketing strategies and building and maintaining long term relationships this role would suit you well.

The Client Services Specialists are responsible for providing timely, accurate technical assistance to clients and client service teams and maintaining day-to-day servicing relationship with client decision-makers. They are responsible for a variety of critical activities including:

·  Providing technical and direct account service assistance to the servicing team
·  Resolving customer inquiries and problems pertaining to insurance products and services
·  Checking and preparing policies and policy digests for delivery to client
·  Reviewing and processing mid-term policy changes, automatic renewals and audits
·  Setting up and review of invoicing and certificates of insurance
·  Developing custom analytical reports and providing technical assistance with servicing, marketing and rating. 
·  Initiating renewal procedures and preparing documents for renewal strategy meetings
·  Maintaining current underwriting information on all accounts.
·  Creating and updating open items lists for your accounts
·  Assisting team by gathering and researching risk management / insurance information from various sources
·  Assisting in the preparation of proposals
·  Reviewing and delivering binders
·  Completing necessary surplus lines documents
·  Preparing loss and/or premium allocations
·  Assisting in resolving client billing questions and carrier discrepancies
·  Preparing and maintaining policy folders

 

The Requirements


·  Minimum of 3 years insurance experience in a commercial Property & Casualty brokerage environment with success in client service, account management and placement.
·  Middle Market insurance knowledge/experience (guaranteed cost) preferred
·  BA/BS Degree in insurance, finance or related field a plus.
·  Advanced designations such as CIC, CPCU, ARM desirable.
·  Ability to focus on delivering exceptional client service while working in a fast paced, high volume environment with minimal supervision.
·  Ability to work in a consultative team environment, effectively lead a team and support and develop junior colleagues on the team.
·  Requires a thorough understanding of large deductible and/or complex casualty programs. Must be able to effectively communicate and explain loss sensitive and complex casualty programs to clients. Experience with loss forecasting and developing loss picks a plus.
·  Requires a thorough understanding of property, casualty and management liability insurance coverage.
·  Requires excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, customer service and team building skills.
·  Property & Casualty and other state licenses required
