Team Overview and Job Responsibilities
The Tax Specialist will be part of the Italy Tax department within the Finance Control and Accounting team and perform the Tax compliance for both direct and indirect taxes for all Italian Legal Entities. The Tax Specialist will directly report to the Finance Control and Accounting Director for Italy
He/she will cooperate also with Europe Group Tax Director for the management of the litigations with Italian Tax Authorities.
The Candidate Activity Will Focus On
· Perform and control all the Tax Compliance activities (Tax computation, tax returns, payments, etc.) for both direct and indirect taxation for all the Italian legal entities of the Group in order to comply correctly and timely with relevant Tax Legislation, taking opportunities and minimizing tax Risks;
· Manage activities connected with Tax inspections, Tax Questionnaire and others relationship with Tax Authorities defining in collaboration with Group Tax the most appropriate strategy also with the involvement of tax consultants in case of need;
· Analyze new Italian Tax legislation and interpretations with a tax impact on the Group, quantifying the impacts, involving relevant Functions (including IT) and implementing necessary solution;
· Support Business Functions of the Company in the analysis of relevant tax aspects of business decisions to find possible solutions in view of reducing and mitigating Tax Risks;
· Determine the tax accrual for the Interim Group Financial Statements and in the forecast and budget processes. Inform timely on tax issues and share decision and analysis in line with the best risk management practice.
· Perform the balance sheet account reconciliation related to tax area
· Finalize the Statutory Reporting using the specific software in cooperation with Finance Control and Accounting team
· Support the Finance Control and Accounting team for any tax and accounting aspects
· Participate with tax and accounting expertise to projects involving the Company (merging, contribution in kind, acquisition, etc)
Key Requirements
· Fluent English language knowledge
· at least 2 years of experience in tax area: in tax or audit consultancy or the tax department of a multinational company
· Accounting and tax expertise
· Innovative and digital mindset and approach
· Reporting and data analysis ability
· Good communication skills
· Organized and ability to manage priorities
