Who are you?

 

As a Solution Engineer, the role involves interfacing with customers to identify their needs and delivering solutions that align with business requirements. This is achieved by leveraging a range of technologies, products, and platforms. Collaboration with integration software architects and engineers is essential to ensure the delivery of suitable solutions and expert guidance.

 

The position requires managing various aspects of the delivery process from end to end. Additionally, research and strategic advisory on optimal digital and IT solutions play a crucial role in supporting digital transformation initiatives. This expertise is fundamental to ensuring that transformation processes are both efficient and effective.

 

What you will do

 

As part of the API & Integrations team you will contribute to the transformation of our company. You will: 

·  Gather, review and analyze information and feedback on our digital products and commercial API business
·  In collaboration with stakeholders across our business (incl. commercial, legal, governance and finance) gather and document requirements
·  Develop internal and external documentation
·  Take on the role of scrum master in projects and initiatives, delivering to both internal and external stakeholders such as dealers and customers
·  Actively contribute as part of an agile team to sprint planning, prioritization and retrospectives
·  Conduct and follow up on testing of APIs and back-end solutions
·  Manage and perform API development quality assurance and governance
·  Communicate findings and suggestions to team members and other stakeholders

 

You will work closely with stakeholders across the Volvo Group to be in line with changing business needs. You will create the right environment for your team members to deliver value to the organization.

 

Competences and Responsibilities

 

·  Familiarity with IBM middleware and integration platforms (WebSphere, MQ and API Connect), or comparable platforms
·  Familiarity with designing and developing REST APIs using Open API specifications standards
·  Proven experience in business and systems analysis, including information modeling and tooling
·  Proven experience in documenting requirements and testing
·  Proven experience in generating system and process documentation
·  Leads team efforts in continuous learning and improvement

 

Other skills:

 

·  Strong proficiency in IT Business Analysis and agile methodologies
·  Understand principles of data storage and messaging solutions
·  Good team player - must be able to work with people at different levels in a global team
