What you will do
The Service Contracts team at Volvo Penta is a newly-formed group tasked with driving innovation and efficiency in service-related capabilities. Our team’s mission is to maintain and enhance existing tools while developing new standalone products within the service domain.
Comprising a diverse and motivated group of professionals, we combine a broad range of skills to deliver impactful software solutions. We are now looking for a skilled and passionate Professional Software Engineer to join us in this exciting journey.
As a member of the team, you will contribute to designing, building, and maintaining scalable web applications and backend services, ensuring they meet business objectives and user needs. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and secure software solutions.
Who are you?
Your Experience:
Requirements :
· 3+ years of work experience as a Frontend Developer, focused on React.js.
· Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript .
· Solid understanding of HTML5 and CSS3 , including preprocessors like SASS or LESS.
· Experience with state management libraries like Redux or Context API .
· Familiarity with React lifecycle methods, hooks, and functional components.
· Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
· Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration with frontend applications.
· Basic understanding of frontend build tools like Webpack, Babel, or Vite.
· Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, etc.
· Hands-on experience with automated testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium etc . including, writing and maintaining end-to-end and integration tests
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Nice to Have
· Exposure to ASP.NET development , including understanding backend architectures and integrating with .NET-based APIs.
· Knowledge of DevSecOps practices, including secure coding principles and familiarity with tools like SonarQube, Snyk, or OWASP guidelines.
· Understanding of CI/CD pipelines with a focus on security integration (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins).
· Basic knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, with a focus on secure configurations.
· Familiarity with security testing practices such as penetration testing or vulnerability assessments.
· Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure or AWS with a focus on secure application deployment.
