Job Overview:
As an Electromobility Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our dealer network with troubleshooting, technical support, and repairs related to electric construction equipment. You will ensure efficient operations of electric vehicles (EV) and machinery in the field while developing the technical capability of our dealers. This role involves hands-on repair, training, and close collaboration with the plant to create best-in-class support.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting and Technical Support
· Provide remote and on-site technical support to dealers and customers for diagnosing and resolving issues with electric machines.
· Handle complex troubleshooting of major components like electric motors, controllers, inverters, and battery systems.
Repairs and Refurbishmen t
· Conduct repairs and refurbishments of EV machine components, including motors, controllers, battery systems, and other electrical subsystems.
· Work with the dealer network to ensure appropriate handling and repair of machinery to reduce downtime.
Coordination with Plant for Technical Support
· Serve as a key point of contact between the field and the manufacturing plant, ensuring the smooth flow of technical support, procedures, and service manuals.
· Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to communicate field issues and contribute to product improvements.
Charger Setup and Installation
· Oversee and assist in the installation, calibration, and setup of charging infrastructure for electric machines.
· Provide technical expertise on charger compatibility and performance optimization.
Customer Interaction:
· Work closely with customers to ensure they understand the maintenance needs and advantages of electric construction machinery. Assist in resolving any technical concerns or issues that may arise post-sale.
Knowledge Development & Transfer, Coaching, and Mentoring
· Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in electromobility technology and trends. Share insights and best practices with dealers and internal teams.
· Conduct training sessions for dealer technicians, ensuring they are well-versed in the maintenance and servicing of electric machines.
· Mentor and guide the dealer network on proper diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
Preventive Maintenance Development
· Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for electric machines, focusing on key wear-and-tear areas and components.
· Establish best practices to ensure long-term machine reliability and performance in the field.
Battery Deterioration Management and Circularity
· Monitor battery health, provide advice on managing battery deterioration, and implement strategies to extend battery life.
· Collaborate with recycling and refurbishment partners to ensure a circular lifecycle for battery components, focusing on sustainability and cost efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
· 3+ years of experience in electric vehicle systems or industrial machinery, preferably in a field service or technical support role.
· Deep knowledge of electric motors, controllers, battery systems, and charging infrastructure.
· Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in an electromobility context.
· Willingness to travel to dealer locations and customer sites regularly.
· Strong understanding of electric vehicle powertrains, drivetrains, and control systems.
· Experience in training or mentoring technical teams is highly desirable.
· Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for EV machinery.
