What you will do

At  Volvo Group Digital & IT you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. You will: 

·  Be a part of T-Shaped developers team for Azure Cloud based project where you will be:
·  driver for planning, developing, implementing back-end solutions
·  contributor in testing phase (unit tests, integration tests, system tests)
·  Be a mentor for other developers
·  Be an active participant of .NET community

 

Your future team

The North America Portable Operation Data System (PODS) Team is a group of learning and cloud technologies enthusiasts. Their primary responsibility is to develop and maintain a cloud-based platform that incorporates full CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) automation.
The team's main objective is to create a robust and scalable system that allows efficient data sharing across internal and external parties by leveraging cloud technologies of Microsoft Azure.
Their work involves designing and implementing cloud infrastructure, developing microservices and APIs, integrating various data sources, and ensuring the security and reliability of the platform. They also prioritize the usage of the CI/CD practices, which allows for seamless deployment and continuous improvement of the system.
By staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in cloud technologies, the North America PODS Team ensures that their platform remains efficient, scalable, and adaptable to the evolving needs of the organization.

 

Who are you?

Do you dream big? We do too, and we are excited to grow together. In this role, you will bring: 

·  Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in .NET software development
·  Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure environment
·  Experience with:
·  Azure Cloud services (especially Function Apps, Service Bus, Storage Account, Cosmos DB)
·  Implementing Infrastructure as a Code templates (ARM/bicep ideally)
·  DevOps and automation tools (e.g., Git), with a strong understanding of CI/CD best practices
·  GraphQL APIs (Apollo Federation ideally)
·  writing unit tests, system tests, integration tests
·  Deep understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns
·  Strong problem-solving skills and ability to design for performance, scalability, and maintainability
·  Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading technical discussions
·  Ability to drive technical decisions and collaborate cross-functionally to align development efforts with business needs
·  Hands-on experience in Node.js would be a plus
·  Experience in graph databases would be a plus (ideally Neo4j)
·  Good communication skills in English
