Position Description

Position Title: Product Quality Engineer

The Main Purpose of the job is to provide the necessary quality support to ensure that the product quality will meet the relevant requirements and also handling all quality feedback from and to customers.

Reporting: This position will report to the General Manager: Technical & Warranty

Job Objectives

·  Summarize and report the product quality audit results and also the customer complaints.
·  Manage Product Auditors.
·  Source and provide the necessary measuring/inspection tools for final product auditor.
·  Support production and other concern functions for the quality information and requirements.
·  Distribute and control the quality document.
·  Monitor the product quality and take proper action according to quality procedures.
·  Issue & close RCA (Root cause analysis), QRPS' (Quick Response Problem Solving) to concern functions according to quality procedure.
·  Coordinate the quality issue with customer and feedback to relevant functions.
·  Liaise with different platforms for example the Sending Plants and Aftermarket on Product Quality issues.
·  Lead, monitor and coach team member to work in accordance to the work instruction and quality procedures.
·  Support new projects and cost reduction activities.

Education & Job Experience

·  B.Eng/BSc/BTech/ND in Mechanical
·  2-3 Years vehicle assembly/ vehicle manufacturing experience (Essential)

·  Vehicle assembly/production tools
·  Project Management principles
·  Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act)
·  Preventative Maintenance (tools/lifting gear/production equipment)
·  Technical product knowledge (Heavy Commercial Vehicles)
·  Basic cost accounting
·  Computer Literacy (Excel, MS Project and CAD)
·  Communication Skills
·  Project Management
