Role Summary
The Quality Tech position will be responsible for the quality of product being shipped to the production facility, perform quality audits, and escalate to achieve solutions.
Job Accountabilities
· Must demonstrate the ability to perform weld quality audits
· Must be able to achieve level 2 non-destructive testing certification within 18 months.
· Must be able to read and understand technical drawings
· Must understand root cause methodology
· Ability to trouble shoot , investigate, and develop and implement corrective actions related to quality issues
· Must have a general knowledge of welding processes
· Proficiency in computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft products and quality systems
Other duties as assigned
· Regular attendance is required
Required Qualifications
· Associate degree in Engineering field or Industrial technology or 2 year welding certificate/degree OR
· 2 years of experience in automotive welding or body work processes with thin sheet metal / stamping environment
· Must be able to work overtime as required, and work any shift
· Must be able to maintain regular and reliable attendance
