About this Role
As a Safety Intern, you will assist in implementing and maintaining a safe work environment by conducting inspections, assisting with training, and contributing to safety initiatives, gaining hands-on experience in safety management.
What you will do
Key Responsibilities:
· Safety Inspections: Assist in conducting regular safety inspections of the distribution center to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
· Training Assistance: Support the development and delivery of safety training materials and sessions for employees.
· Incident Reporting and Investigation: Assist in documenting and investigating workplace incidents, gathering information, and preparing reports.
· Safety Program Support: Participate in safety meetings, committees, and initiatives to promote a strong safety culture.
· Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and other safety-related documentation.
· Data Analysis: Assist in analyzing safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
· Other duties as assigned: Support other safety-related projects and tasks as needed.
Who are you?
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program, preferably in a safety-related field (e.g., Industrial Hygiene, Safety Management).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic knowledge of safety regulations and principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
• Experience with safety software or data analysis tools.

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $16.00 - $46.00.The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
