The Experience: Be part of Volvo Group’s digital transformation by understanding existing processes and leveraging Business Intelligence (BI) and low-code/no-code solutions to optimize operations, enhance efficiency, and drive continuous improvement. Over the course of the summer, you will work in critical areas of the Volvo Group’s operations and develop actionable solutions while documenting the entire journey.
Duration and Expected Hours:
The summer internship period runs from June through August, exact dates are flexible based on your school-year calendar.
This internship will be located on-site in Greensboro, North Carolina. Interns will work 40 hours per week.
Core Responsibilities
- Process analysis: Conduct a thorough analysis of the manual and repetitive processes in existing operations, identifying pain points, inefficiencies, and repetitive activities that can be automated.
- Process Documentation: Document the current workflows, processes, and roadblocks. Determine the feasibility of low-code solutions to automate these tasks
- Solution Identification: Develop low-code solutions to streamline tasks. Collaborate with SMEs within Volvo Group to suggest alternatives available for automating manual tasks.
- Recommendations for Implementation: Create a comprehensive implementation plan that outlines the potential automation solutions, including process improvements and streamlined workflows.
Who are you?
We are looking for a student with a “maker” personality and entrepreneurial spirit, who is familiar with low code no code solutions. We expect these internship students to be self-motivated, curious and bold. We are exploring new possibilities in highly uncertain areas where requirement specifications and well-defined processes are often unavailable.
• BI and analytics background with experience with Low Code Solutions
• Desire to learn and be part of a cross-functional team
• Strong initiative-taking and follow-through skills, strong ownership, and sense of responsibility
• Ability to operate effectively and proactively in a highly creative and sometimes ambiguous environment
• Good documentation, communication and presentation skills
• Motivation to solve real-world problems
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Minimum Education and Experience
• Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75
• Summer Interns may work up to 40 hours per week

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $16.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
