HGV Technician - Nights, Glasgow West

Salary:  £18-£20 per hour + OVERTIME + BONUS + PLUS £1000 SIGNING ON BONUS (£500 after 6 months + £500 after completion of 1 year service)

What will you be doing

·  Our Technicians are responsible carrying out regular MOT service inspections on a wide range of manufacturers’ trucks. Fault finding, carrying out repairs on engines, gearboxes brakes, suspension systems etc.
·  Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly
·  Assist in the fault diagnosis process
·  Service Customer Vehicles and complete service sheets.
·  Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license)
·  Assist with roadside breakdowns.
·  Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately
·  Ensure all vehicle defects are reported
·  Keep all workshop facilities, equipment, and tools clean, tidy and well maintained
·  Help us in supporting the development of trainees and apprentices

You will have

·  A Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
·  Previous experience working on HGV’s or have you completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry
