What you will do
The Chief Accountant will manage all relevant accounting processes, ensures high quality of reporting baseline and achieves tax Compliance.
The Chief Accountant will contribute to the maintenance of a strong internal control environment within the accounting function, ensuring VFS and Volvo Group policies and directives are correctly followed, and company is meeting its statutory and regulatory reporting requirements
Main activities and responsibilities
• Maintain General Ledger
• Ensure General Ledger (GL) reconciliations are implemented and executed, and policies are strictly followed
• Drive and encourage daily control and monitoring within all accounting-relevant processes
• Ensure that Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions are effectively managed
• Preparing monthly financial statements according to local GAAP with bridge to IFRS& Group Policy in financial services in a correct, complete, and timely manner
• Preparing monthly & quarterly statements/reports according to local GAAP towards Central Bank and Fiscal authorities in a correct, complete, and timely manner
• Knowledge of local tax regulation and implications for the business results, guarantee tax compliance
• Support and consult with operational functions across the organization within a framework of improving
• Secure timely and correct Cash-Management
• Comment on key variances for internal and external reporting
• Assist with special projects as required (upgrade/development of CMS, accounting system)
• Be a professional business partner for (internal and external) auditors and external consultants (e.g. tax consultants)
• Support business functions in delivering accounting and financial advice as needed

Education and Professional Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in financial accounting
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong understanding of local Accounting Standards and IFRS
• Experience in financial service field would be an advantage
Competencies and Skills
• Proven ability to challenge current practice, analyse and draw conclusions on findings
• Analytical mind-set, highly meticulous, deadline oriented, well organized
• Proven track record of problem solving and change implementation
• High level of PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Power Point).
• Strong team leadership
• Advanced level of English (oral/written)
