What you will do

Reporting to the Vice President – Business Development, you will drive cross-functional collaboration, lead a specialised team of application engineers, and interface with regulatory bodies to ensure the timely and successful certification of our products. Other key responsibilities include:

·  Develop and execute a comprehensive homologation strategy with the Volvo Group Australia homologation manager, aligning with company objectives and market entry timelines. 
·  Lead, mentor, and develop the VGA homologation manager and TSSC engineers, fostering a culture of compliance excellence and continuous improvement. 
·  Responsible for the expenses budget for department.
·  Determine the department business plan in line with the Project Portfolio Management strategy.

Who are you?

To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional leadership qualities with a focus on building high-performing and collaborative functions. Other attributes include:

•    A proven track record of successfully managing homologation projects for heavy-duty trucks or similar vehicles across multiple international markets.
•    Extensive experience and a deep knowledge of in homologation, global heavy-duty truck regulatory requirements, including emissions standards (e.g., Euro VI, EPA), safety regulations (e.g., FMVSS, ECE), and environmental compliance.
•    RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer Queensland).
•    Strong project management skills, with experience managing complex, cross-functional projects within tight timelines.
•    Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of effectively interacting with regulatory bodies, industry stakeholders, and senior executives.
•    Analytical and strategic thinking, with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
