Job description

Would you like to participate in a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ project that will protect Calgary and its communities?

We are looking for a HR Coordinator to join our team and build the Springbank Off-Stream Reservoir, 15km west of Calgary. The Springbank Off-Stream Reservoir will provide flood protection along the Elbow River in Calgary and other downstream communities.

About you:

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for facilitation of day-to-day Human Resources functions including taking in charge in the recruitment process for all positions
  • Manage new employee onboarding process
  • Support company development plans and programs to ensure all staff are receiving proper training and experiences
  • Communicate and implement company policies regarding employee issues, as needed
  • Assist with the annual performance review process
  • Maintain employee attendance, leave, and overtime records to transmit the compensation and benefits entitled, in Canadian or foreign currency, to the external payroll provider
  • Prepare and verify employee statements (i.e., Record of Employment) for the external payroll provider, in collaboration with the finance team
  • Perform any other related duties as required and assigned while exemplifying VINCI’s values

Desired profile

Requirements & Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Human Resources with minimum 1 year
  • experience recruiting and facilitating the hiring/onboarding processes, with labor law compliance
  • Experience in the engineering field and on project, a strong asset
  • Experience with payroll, an asset
