We are seeking an experienced Technical Artist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between the art and development teams, ensuring the seamless integration of visual assets while optimizing performance and maintaining high artistic standards.
This role requires a strong technical background in game development combined with a deep understanding of art pipelines and visual systems.
The Lead Gameplay Programmer will report to and work under the management of the Associate Producer.
Key Responsibilities
· Collaborate with artists and developers to ensure that visual assets are efficiently integrated into the game while maintaining performance and quality.
· Develop and optimize shaders, lighting systems, and visual effects to enhance the artistic vision and ensure smooth performance across platforms.
· Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and producers, to ensure that all visual components meet the project's aesthetic and technical
· requirements.
· Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to asset integration, performance optimization, and memory management.
· Drive innovation by staying current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in both game development and visual design.
· Implement tools and processes that improve the efficiency and quality of the asset creation pipeline.
· Conduct and facilitate art and technical reviews to ensure the highest standards of visual quality and technical performance.
· Report to and work under the guidance of the Technical Director, ensuring alignment with the project’s artistic and technical goals.
Relevant experience, skills and knowledge
· Proven experience as a Technical Artist within a game development team, with a deep understanding of art and technical workflows.
· Strong knowledge of game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) and art tools (e.g., Maya, Blender).
· Expertise in shader development, lighting systems, and VFX.
· Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to address both artistic and technical challenges.
· Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines.
· Ability to mentor and support junior artists and developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
· Experience with mobile game development and online multiplayer systems is desirable.
