As of 2025, Ubisoft Sofia has contributed 22 titles across major gaming platforms and technologies. The team’s creative and technical expertise has supported some of Ubisoft’s most iconic franchises, including Assassin’s Creed®, Tom Clancy’s®, and Prince of Persia®.

A longstanding co-development partner on the Assassin’s Creed series, Ubisoft Sofia has played an essential role in bringing to life acclaimed titles such as Black Flag, Origins, Valhalla, Mirage, and most recently, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, released in March 2025. Sofia team’s contributions reflect their ongoing importance within the franchise and over the years, the studio has led production on five major Assassin’s Creed projects, including Liberation, Rogue, The Curse of the Pharaohs (Origins DLC), Dawn of Ragnarök (Valhalla expansion), and Mirage for iPhone and iPad.

Job Description

Your role

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation and tracking of a specific part of the project, while ensuring that the teams involved have optimal working conditions to reach the production objectives.

*Please, note that our Studio is based in Sofia and in terms of our hybrid model of work, working within the Bulgarian boundaries would be required.

 

Your daily adventure

TAKE OWNERSHIP OF A SPECIFIC PART OF THE GAME
In terms of production and communication to different stakeholders (internal and external)

PARTICIPATE IN THE STRATEGIC AND TACTICAL PLANNING PROCESS & ASSUME OWNERSHIP
Of the planning and progress vs. plan

MONITOR PROGRESS, PROVIDE REGULAR OVERVIEW, FORECAST POTENTIAL DEVIATION
And provide regular follow-ups to project stakeholders

PARTICIPATE ON A REGULAR BASIS IN QUALITY REVIEWS OF THE COMPLETED WORK
To ensure that it meets the project standards

IDENTIFY AND ANALYZE RISKS AND PROJECT PRIORITIES
Suggest alternative solutions and monitor their implementation

ACT AS LIAISON BETWEEN DIFFERENT STAKEHOLDERS IN THE PROJECT
To ensure that activities are aligned and implemented effectively

COLLABORATE WITH OTHER MANAGERS
To motivate and inspire team members, while encouraging creativity and team spirit

Qualifications

Your skills  

EXPERIENCE
1-3 years of previous experience in project & people management

KNOWLEDGE
Ability to create a project planning for a team/task/mandate
Very good knowledge of the respective mandate and ability to produce reports on a regular basis
Ability to implement a contingency action plan

ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS
Excellent planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
Very good knowledge of planning, monitoring and communication tools and ability to suggest the tools best adapted to the team
Ability to redefine objectives
Ability to delegate tasks and responsibilities

ABILITY TO QUICKLY ESTABLISH CREDIBILITY AND RESPECT
And build strong working relationships with managers, peers and reports

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Being articulate, organized, and accessible with ability to work with others in a collaborative and solutions focused manner to achieve win-win outcomes
Ability to provide feedback constructively & respectfully, in a way which enables issues resolution
Excellent command of English

TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS
Ability to manage your own time, priorities and work within deadlines

ENTHUSIASM
Interest and desire to work in the video game development industry
Desire to constantly learn and improve
