The main mission of the Consumer & Market Knowledge team is to understand our players, their habits, their motivations, in order to know how to reach them and retain them in a highly competitive market in constant evolution. As a member of CMK, you will analyze market and consumer data in a 360° perspective to find actionable insights for our brands and games, determine their potential and their audience, and make recommendations to help them reach their potential on the market. 

Your daily tasks will be to define a data and research strategy, to carry it out in close relationship with production and marketing teams, to communicate insights and ensure that they’re taken into account throughout the game lifecycle, from early conception to release and live operations.  

The precision of your work will contribute to the success of Ubisoft future games and your sense of innovation will help CMK always being a key partner to shape the future of gaming at Ubisoft. Thus we are looking for candidates with prior experience in the gaming industry or passionate gamers with experience in consumer or market insights.

Mission

The main and routine tasks of the marketing analyst are to: 

·  Produce ad hoc quantitative and qualitative studies on the different production phases (questionnaire development, materials management, follow up, results verification and analysis, summaries, recommendations and presentations);
·  Analyze statistical data and prepare analytical documents for internal use: use proprietary tools, reporting platforms (tables, SQL, Excel, etc.) and statistical software (SPSS) to create, manage and communicate data and insights in ad hoc reports;
·  Be the point of contact for internal clients, help suggest the methodologies that are best adapted to the issues at hand and oversee the quality of the services and recommendations provided;
·  Maintain professional relations with users, from briefs to constructive feedback;
·  Carry out research and draft summaries for internal clients;
·  Help implement and follow up on key consumer-focused indicators for the brands to which he/she is assigned;
·  Carry out all other related tasks.

Education

·  Bachelor’s degree in marketing, social science or equivalent;
·  Master’s degree is an asset.

Relevant experience 

·  8 years or more of experience in marketing research, acquired in an institute of study or in a client-side research service, preferably in the video game, entertainment or media industry

·  Effective skills for constructive communication (spoken and written);

·  Being able to cross all sources available (study results, player analytics, forums, etc ...) to make strategic recommendations to internal customers;

·  Want to develop tools, be creative in the design and use of new data collection methodologies
·  Have excellent collaborative skills with multidisciplinary and international teams;
·  Ability to quickly adapt to change;
·  Positive and customer service oriented approach

Knowledge

·  Be bilingual (French and English) 
·  Mastery of the Office suite, especially Excel (macro and automation) and Powerpoint (many presentations) 
·  Mastery of SPSS 
·  Know the concepts of branding 
·  Be comfortable with the numbers 
·  Statistical knowledge 
·  Know about qualitative and quantitative marketing studies 
·  In-depth knowledge of the video game industry
·  Being a "video game player" a real asset
