We have an opportunity for a physiotherapy intern to join our expanding team. The internship will entail working as an autonomous practitioner, managing your own caseload of clients seeking sports massage therapy input. You will be required to assess, treat and advise your clients on their soft tissue complaints and adapt your approach to various cultural, social and physical needs, ensuring a personalised service is provided. The position also requires that records of client treatments are maintained in line with professional standards.
You will be working in a clinic setting, alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Access to support or advice from colleagues will be made readily available to you and regular supervision meetings with a designated line manager will be scheduled to offer support and facilitate your professional development. Whilst we anticipate the majority of your workload to be client based, there may be occasions where you are asked to participate in activities directed towards service development and improvement.

Desired profile
The Ideal Candidate:
Working towards a degree in physiotherapy, sports therapy, sports rehab, sports and exercise therapy, sports injury rehab, or other relevant discipline
Experience in massage, sports massage and working with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions
Experience in the rehabilitation of patients back to sporting activity
Our ideal candidate will have a good understanding of sports massage therapy, along with knowledge and experience of a wide range of treatment approaches for various musculoskeletal conditions. They will be a confident autonomous practitioner with excellent clinical skills and strong communication abilities. They will have a clear understanding of the professional code of conduct and abide by this.
Our ideal applicant will be a motivated and proactive individual who works well independently and is also a team player. They will possess strong IT skills, as well as excellent organisational and time management abilities and will have a flexible approach. They will be a logical thinker who is able to prioritise their workload appropriately, problem solve and work effectively under pressure.
