In order to support Total’s ambition in offshore wind development, we are hiring a GIS Engineer:

 

GIS:

·        Research, inventory, analyse, and integrate GIS data for offshore wind projects worldwide,

·        Undertake multi-criteria spatial analysis

·        Produce thematic maps

·        Assist with renewable energy project site selection and characterisation studies

·        Liaise with GIS experts within the relevant Total units.

·        Procure and roll-out adequate IT tools in cooperation with other Total units. 

 

Layout/ wind / energy yield

·        Create project layouts in cooperation with other members of the team,

·        Develop internals tools for high level wind resource and energy yield analysis,

·        Manage wind resource and energy yield analysis carried out by external parties.

Desired profile

Profil recherché

·  This role would suit a degree qualified engineer in geomatics, geography, geospatial science or other relevant degree, with minimum of 5 years working experience in GIS and / or wind resource and energy yield estimation. The candidate should have some experience in the renewable energy sector.  
·  The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate that they have the following capabilities:
·  Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage own workload, meet timescales and coordinate a number of external and internal stakeholders, sometimes under tight timescales,
·  Good communication skills, with the ability to enable effective discussion and transfer of information between, team members and other stakeholders,
·  Good knowledge of French and English (written and spoken),
·  Excellent knowledge of the ArcGIS platform.
