We're looking for a Senior Financial Analyst – Store Operations (18-Month Contract) to drive strategic decision-making through impactful financial analysis. Partnering closely with Store Operations leadership, you’ll drive initiatives that enhance workforce efficiency, optimize payroll forecasting, and support capital planning. What You’ll Do:

  • Leverage a variety of data sources and partner with the Store Operations department to perform complex data and trend analysis; analyses support leadership in making informed, timely decisions regarding store activities (e.g. payroll, discretionary expenses).

  • Prepare payroll budgets, Rolling Plan, and Original Plan demonstrating an in-depth understanding of business trends and impacts; collaborates with multiple business units to ensure all store attributes and assumptions are incorporated.

  • Act as trusted advisor to business partners by providing financial support for workforce efficiency projects via manipulating (and/or developing) payroll models and finding new ways to enhance forecast accuracy.

  • Prepare and present payroll reporting to senior leaders across Store Operations and Finance departments.

  • Lead the Store Operations capital budgeting, monthly forecasting, and reporting.

  • Develop complex business models and conduct ad hoc analysis to facilitate decision-making for short and long-term strategy.

About You:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in financial planning, reporting and analysis; financial experience in a retail industry is an asset.

  • Post-secondary education in related field (e.g. Business Administration, Mathematics/Statistics, Finance/Accounting); a related professional designation (i.e. CPA or MBA) is considered an asset.

  • Excellent knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), cost accounting, and retail operations.

  • Advanced problem-solving skills including analysis of information, research, and knowledge of database design/data manipulation concepts

  • Strong organizational skills including change management, time management, the ability to prioritize and multi-task with limited supervision and under time pressure.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, accurately estimate time required to complete deliverables, and keep appropriate people informed of progress.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; able to develop collaborative relationships with team, internal, and external partners and effectively resolve conflicts that may arise.

  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, knowledge of accounting software, previous experience utilizing data analytics and budgeting tools (e.g. TM1, Hyperion, Anaplan, Alteryx, Power Bi).

  • Genuine interest in continuous learning and development; excited to take on new challenges and volunteer for ad-hoc projects.

Salary Range: $74,752.50-$104,653.50 /year *This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
