Consumer Insights Analyst, Marketing Efficacy
Job Summary
As part of the Consumer Insights & Analytics team, the Consumer Insights Analyst, Marketing Efficacy will work across our TJX US Brands to develop a deep understanding of Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), analyze marketing campaigns and channel efficiency, and provide insight into drivers of change and optimization opportunities. The Analyst will use data visualization tools to bring insights to life, enable historical trending and improve efficiency. They will lead insights generation for key TJX brands to inform marketing strategy, and leverage scenario modeling to guide media planning choices across the business.
The successful candidate should be familiar with regression modeling and A/B testing to guide marketing/media plans. They should demonstrate strong analytic and insight generation, marketing and business intuition, and ability to distill complex data into a simple story. They will work cross-functionally with a wide variety of partners, including media leads, brand marketing leads, other consumer insights and analytic leaders, and external data partners.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Lead bi-annual Marketing Mix Modeling reporting for key brands, generating insights and recommendations to improve marketing effectiveness
- Leverage new store modeling (Grand Openings) to guide marketing strategy
- Develop impactful reporting and dashboards to bring to life marketing and customer data
- Lead scenario modeling to guide media choices and inform marketing mix strategy across TJX portfolio
- Lead data collection for Marketing Mix Modeling across TJX portfolio, collaborating across teams/data owners, QAing data inputs, and finding opportunities for greater efficiency
- Partner across Consumer Insights & Analytics team to enable integration of Marketing Mix Modeling data with Customer and Marketing database (Snowflake)
- Partner across Marketing Efficacy team on other marketing measurement techniques, including multi-touch attribution, brand lift studies, A/B testing, incrementality experiments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Finance or another quantitative field
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in Customer or Marketing Analytics
- Experience manipulating large datasets to extract insights
- SQL experience required
- High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office products required
- Experience with Data Visualization platforms (e.g. PowerBI or Tableau) preferred
- Experience with A/B testing and regression modeling; marketing measurement/attribution experience a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
- Passion for understanding marketing efficacy and interest in building a career in the consumer insight and analytics function
- Curious, self-motivated problem solver
- Ability to prioritize multiple, complex projects in a collaborative fast paced environment
- Adept at presenting complex concepts in an easy to understand and actionable way
