Meet Layla
Layla is an Admissibility Analyst in our Logistics Department. She is responsible for the timely, complete, and accurate submission of North American customs entries. She supports the North American Operations team by addressing vendor, merchant, and 3rd party partner inquiries. Finally, Layla also supports and provides visibility to the business with Milestone reporting.

Now, if you were to come on board as one of ourAdmissibility Analystswe’d ask you to do the following:
· Completes customs clearance entries in ViaTrade; including non-system entries such as Samples, non-merchandise
· Supports merchandise flow to clear customs by ensuring CBSA (Customs Border Services Agency) regulations are met; partners with Customs & Trade Compliance team to ensure compliance of imported merchandise
· Liaises with Carriers, Merchants, Vendors, 3rd Party Service Provider APLL and Customs Broker to address escalated/urgent document inquiries and provide complete and accurate customs clearance
· Identifies trends, opportunities, and potential risks in business processes by analyzing reporting and market trends; develop and maintain regular reporting updates for leadership reviews
· Responsible for completing monthly Revenue Summary Form (RSF) submissions to CBSA
· Collaborates and assists Logistics team to review and resolve issues related to merchandise flow; may train and support the on-boarding of Associates
· Participates on annual and special projects/ committees as needed

· Minimum five (5) years International/Global Trade and Transportation knowledge/experience
· Designation or certification with Canada Society of Customs Brokers, Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation (CITT) and or as Customs Specialist an asset
· Good business analytical skills and the ability to understand and interpret Canada Customs, Duty and Tax information to aid in effective decision-making
· Strong organizational skills with ability to implement and manage details, prioritize, time manage and multi-task with limited supervision and sometimes under time pressure
· Solid problem-solving skills which include the ability to respond to inquiries and effectively and efficiently resolve issues
· Demonstrates interpersonal abilities to perform effectively in a collaborative and team-oriented environment, where partnering with others and building strong working relationships are critical
· Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing needs of the business, and changing priorities
· Solid verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels in the organization
· Advanced computer skills including MS Office applications - Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, web based applications
