Manufacturing Technician – 40K Blaster
The Manufacturing Technician is a member of the Paint equipment maintenance team working within the Paint production department.
Manufacturing Technicians participate in specialized procedures for the cleaning and maintenance of the production equipment used in the Paint department. The ideal candidate has a proven record of success in the cleaning of production equipment using specialized equipment, procedures and training.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
? General maintenance and pressure washing of specialized production equipment
? Using ultra-high pressure hydro blasters up to 40k psi
? Safe handling and disposal of hazardous waste material
? Climbing and maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
? Stooping, laying, bending, squatting, kneeling, crouching and crawling for periods of time
? Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: protective aprons, chaps, safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, and other required PPE while adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
Work environment / Essential physical demands
? Ability to perform physical work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours per day
? Ability to frequently and repetitively lift, push, and carry up to 35 lbs.
? Ability to frequently and repetitively lift and carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
? Ability to frequently and repetitively bend, lift and reach to install parts of varying size and weight overhead
? Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain
? Ability to stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for periods of time
? Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
? Ability to detect abnormalities in the process and receive safety signals using visual, tactile, or auditory senses
? Potential exposure to confined spaces and hazardous materials used in the painting process
? Possible weekend work and overtime required (including potential overnight shifts)
Job requirements: Must be a current Production Associate within Body Paint or Plastics Paint
? Previous experience with general maintenance and the cleaning of production equipment using specialized equipment, procedures and training is highly preferred
? Successful completion of all compulsory training and certification requirements for job requirements including but not limited to: working in confined spaces, fall protection, lock-out/tag-out, safe usage of specialized equipment and hazardous material handling
? High school diploma or equivalent or evidence of exceptional ability
? Must be at least 18 years of age
