Area
Satellite Strategic Alliances, inside Satellite Business Unit
Mission
Prospect, analyze and close agreements with the main satellite players of the market. Focus on expand and enhance portfolio and footprint of satellite services of Telefonica Global Solutions for its Wholesale, Retail and MNCs customers & development of new solutions and services.
Responsabilities
· Relationship with legacy satellite players and first contact with new ones, to analyze their proposals and look for a feasible business model, valid for Telefonica and the provider (technically, economically, and regulatory/legally).
· Coordination of PoCs, as part of the feasibility activities to test new products.
· Help Satellite Presales and Satellite Engineering in constructing special projects, customizing provider's standard services to specific customer requirements.
· Standardization and white-labeling activities to create new products and services.
· Launch, and follow-up until contract signature, of the RFPs and procurement processes to close the agreements, in coordination with the Satellite Business Unit and other internal areas of Telefónica Global Solutions: Procurement, Regulation, Legal,...
· Long-term follow-up of the relationship with the providers, especially with the ones that are multi-product, multi-region, or multi-customer, considered strategic.
· Managed providers, among others: Hispasat, Eutelsat, Intelsat, Hughes, Viasat, SpaceX Starlink, OneWeb, Telesat...
Education required
Telecoms with experience over satellite services
Specific skills
· Resource performance, diagnostics and troubleshooting management. Team work.
· Interest in technological advances and keeping up to date with new technological products.
· Technology innovation and standardization.
· Speed up and simplify things.
· Effective communication.
Technical knowledge
· Learning Agility.
· Office suite business applications. Database query languages and tools.
· Ability to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of different technological alternatives for the deployment or implementation of communication systems.
· Network detection and protection platforms.
· Satellite Networks - Architectures, SDN/NFV Core Networks - Architectures.
· Network quality assurance & testing.
· Ability to understand and apply knowledge of network routing protocols.
· Knowledge of the rules and regulations of telecommunications at the national, European and international levels.
