AREA DESCRIPTION.

Open Gateway is a GSMA-led telco industry initiative that aims to transform communications networks into platforms. This enables open telco capabilities in an interoperable, intuitive, and programmable way.

 

These capabilities are exposed through global, standardized APIs under the framework of CAMARA, the open-source project led by the Linux Foundation in collaboration with the GSMA.

 

Integrating telco capabilities opens an infinite world of possibilities: enhanced experiences during real-time events, autonomous drone control, more secure financial services or new generation services as telesurgery with XR. These are use cases based on an initial family of Telco APIs already available to drive new experiences in areas with great potential such as optimizing connectivity, communications, security in financial services, as well as privacy and security in general.

MISSION.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination of key internal initiatives, helping in the maintenance of reporting tools and facilitating internal communication among internal units. The Open Gateway Junior Project Manager will also give support to the Product Program Manager and collaborate in building and improving internal ways of working.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES.

Manage and coordinate proof of concepts.

· 
Follow-up and project status report

· 
Generate meeting notes

· 
Track and report internal OKRs

· 
Update and maintenance the reporting tool

· 
Provide e2e vision and make things happen

 

NATURE OF PROBLEMS & CHALLENGES.

· 
Provides oversight of organization’s projects

· 
Maintaining best practices within all involved teams

· 
Documenting and reporting project status to different stakeholder

· 
Identify and manage project risks and issues

· 
Ensure that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives.

 

EDUCATION REQUIRED.
Preferably, but not required, MSc/BSc degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related technical field.

Degrees in Business Administration, Marketing or Law are also welcomed if the candidate has substantial experience with technical products.

 

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS.

Any Network or Telco experience will be valued.

· 
Teamwork, enjoy working together and open to share ideas/support.

· 
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: PowerPoint, Excel, Word.

· 
Resilient, needs to understand the challenges of working within and with big organizations.

· 
Results oriented: Doing the job effectively and achieving the team's objectives.

· 
Ability to engage people from different departments

· 
Passionate to learn about project management

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE.

· 
1 years of experience in program/project management

· 
Driven, self-motivated, results oriented

 

LANGUAGES.
Fluent in Spanish and English.
