In Denmark, SUEZ is responsible for the design, construction, and operation of advanced wastewater treatment facilities, including a state-of-the-art plant in Fredericia treating "Produced Water" from TOTAL's offshore operations in the North Sea. This plant plays a vital role in safeguarding the Danish aquatic environment by ensuring compliance with strict environmental regulations.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong technical background in water treatment, sanitation, or environmental science. The ideal candidate should have a keen interest in plant operations, laboratory analysis, and process optimization. This role requires someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, can work both independently and collaboratively, and is eager to develop expertise in SCADA systems, plant maintenance, and operational best practices. Additionally, the candidate must be eligible for the French International Internship Programme (VIE), meaning they must be between 18 and 28 years old and hold citizenship from France, an EU/EEA Member State, or Monaco.

  Which skills and experiences you will need to succeed in this role?

·  To excel in this position, you should have:

·  Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Water/Sanitation, Environmental Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications will be considered a plus.
·  Technical Expertise : Familiarity with SCADA systems and plant operations, as well as experience in laboratory analysis, data management, and report writing.
·  Process Knowledge: Ability to review and interpret Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and adjust plant parameters accordingly.
·  Operational Skills : Experience in sample collection, analysis, and reporting, as well as coordinating test kits, logistics, and maintenance tasks.
·  Safety Awareness: Understanding of safety procedures related to plant operations.
·  Communication & Teamwork : Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team and actively contribute to operational meetings.
·  Autonomy & Problem-Solving : A self-motivated approach, capable of working independently while taking initiative in improving plant performance.
·  Language Skills : Fluency in English is required.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your expertise through hands-on experience, taking on increasing responsibilities in laboratory operations, plant management, and process optimization.

 

YOUR RESPONSABILITIES WILL BE: 

·  Manage laboratory operations, including sample collection, analysis, and reporting on a set schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, annual).
·  Coordinate orders for test kits, sample packaging, and logistics for sample pickup.
·  Maintain the laboratory and associated storage areas in good order.
·  Analyze and interpret results, reporting findings to the Plant and Process Managers.
·  Conduct and report daily walk-arounds on the plant.
·  Actively participate in all operational team meetings.
·  Review and interpret Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), making adjustments to plant parameters and setpoints as needed.
·  Operate the plant independently, with a focus on SCADA systems and general operational management.
·  Participate in maintenance tasks, progressing towards performing unassisted maintenance.
·  Join the on-call duty rotation.
·  Create, define, and review a comprehensive training plan based on operational activities and learnings.
