Job description
Position: Financial Controller
Location: Belgrade
Reporting to: Branch Manager
Role Overview:
The Financial Controller will play a key role in supporting Operations and Project Managers in the financial management of their projects. This includes budgeting, cost control, financial reporting, and cash flow forecasting. The role requires strong analytical skills, a structured approach to financial processes, and the ability to provide accurate and timely financial insights to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Budgeting & Financial Control:
· Assist Operations and Project Managers in preparing and monitoring project budgets.
· Develop and maintain budget control templates to facilitate financial tracking.
· Reconcile actual project expenses with budgeted amounts, identifying variances and providing analysis.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
· Prepare financial reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support project and business unit performance tracking.
· Contribute to quarterly financial closures, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
· Perform provision calculations and support financial consolidation processes.
Cash Flow & Forecasting:
· Prepare cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate financial planning.
· Monitor project expenditures and anticipate financial risks.
· Support the finance team in managing cash allocation and project funding needs.
Compliance & Process Improvement:
· Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements.
· Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting efficiency.
· Support internal and external audits by providing financial data and analysis.
Profile & Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Proven experience in financial controlling, preferably in a consulting or project-based environment.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
· Proficiency in financial modeling, budget tracking, and reporting tools (Excel, Power Point, Power BI).
· Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including project managers and operational teams.
· Excellent organizational and communication skills.
· Fluency in English
· Fluency in French is an advantage
