Job description

WHO WE ARE

Faced with growing environmental challenges, for more than 160 years, SUEZ has been acting to deliver essential services that protect and improve the quality of life. SUEZ enables its customers to provide access to water and waste services, with resilient and innovative solutions. With its 40 000 employees present in 40 countries, the Group also enables its customers to create value over the entire lifecycle of their assets and services, and to drive their ecological transition, together with their end-users.

You will join SUEZ Europe & Central Asia, a Business Unit (BU) looking to achieve significant growth in its Water and Waste activities in the countries selected in the Group's strategic roadmap for the medium-term plan. The ambition is strong, but the BU wants to develop its activities notably in the following countries: Poland, Czech Republic, Denmark, Serbia, Uzbekistan, and potentially Spain. However, we also need to keep a close eye on the market, so that we can potentially develop in other countries in the region.

.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

Project Context:

We, SUEZ International, are leading a city-wide digital transformation of Tashkent’s water management system by deploying smart cold-water meters across the whole city. These smart devices use the Wireless M-Bus protocol, enabling remote consumption tracking, leak detection, and real-time alarms. This initiative is one of the largest IoT (Internet of Things) and Big Data projects in Central Asia, combining complex field operations with advanced analytics and IT system integration.

With daily meter installation operations across thousands of buildings, we collaborate closely with installer subcontractors for storage, testing, dispatch and installation of our devices. We also partner with the city’s water provider to register customer and device data—such as GPS coordinates, billing information, and photographic evidence—into our smart metering information system to ensure accurate and timely billing.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Data Analyst with strong analytical and programming skills, ideally with experience in IoT projects. You will play a central role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and traceability of our smart devices installation and maintenance operations (smart water meters and gateways), as well as their data integration processes. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or a candidate with 1–2 years of experience in Data Science/Telecommunications, who is excited to work on a high-impact, real-world IoT application.

Responsibilities & Duties:

·  Inventory Monitoring: Track smart meter stock across the supply chain—storage, testing, dispatch, and installation—to identify and prevent losses.
·  Field Data Analysis: Analyze installer-collected data (meter ID, GPS, photos, etc.) to detect and flag any inconsistencies or input errors before registration of our smart devices into the IT system.
·  Database Troubleshooting: Support and optimize data injection, validation, extraction and troubleshooting tasks using SQL queries.
·  Dashboard Development: Design, build, and maintain PowerBI dashboards to monitor our assert inventory and installation operations for decision-making.
·  Analyze, report and troubleshoot any technical issues coming from our installed gateways (log analysis, battery and temperature monitoring, hardware maintenance...)
·  Automation Projects: Write high-level Python scripts to automate the detection of operational issues (e.g., installation errors, GPS mismatches, duplicates…).
·  KPI Reporting: Define and maintain performance indicators for daily installation and maintenance operations
·  Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, ensuring no unauthorized disclosure of company assets, data, or documents.
·  This role may involve additional tasks within the competence of the incumbent as needed.
