Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Hardware and Firmware Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in the creation of final PCBs, assembly, prototyping with 3D printers, and programming of microcontrollers (MCUs). This role requires a blend of practical hands-on experience with a creative approach to problem-solving in hardware (HW) and software (SW) development.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop PCB layouts for final product implementation, ensuring high-quality standards and compliance with technical specifications.
Manage the entire PCB assembly process, including component sourcing, soldering, repairing and testing.
Utilize 3D printing technology for rapid prototyping, creating models and components for hardware development.
Program and troubleshoot microcontrollers, ensuring seamless integration with hardware components.
Collaborate with the HW and SW development team to refine design specifications and improve product functionality.
Implement and oversee testing procedures to validate the performance and reliability of hardware systems.
Provide technical support and guidance for hardware and firmware issues throughout the product lifecycle.
Keep abreast of the latest advancements in PCB design, 3D printing technology, and MCU programming to enhance product development.
Profile
Profile (candidate's skills)
Secondary Upper education or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
Hands-on experience in PCB assembly, repairing and testing.
Proficiency in CAD software for PCB design and 3D modeling, as well as experience with 3D printing technologies.
Programming skills in embedded systems, with experience in MCU programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or similar.
Familiarity with electronic test equipment and debugging tools for hardware and firmware issues.
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented mindset.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
