About

At Steerlab, our mission is to empower PreSales teams to win more deals. We do so by automating their response processes to RFPs (Requests for Proposals), Security Questionnaires and other vendor questionnaires with AI.

By leveraging fine-tuned language models and Multi-Modal agentic AI systems, we provide factual answers, elevate writing quality, and deliver actionnable insights that significantly increase win rates. We aim to transform tedious workflows into efficient, automated, and insightful experiences, allowing our customers to focus on securing deals rather than doing busywork.

We are at an exciting stage of our journey. We’ve secured funding from top-tier VCs and esteemed business angels from Europe and US positioning us to elevate our company to the next level.

We’re based at Station F in Paris, the largest startup campus in the world.

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer to join Steerlab, working closely with our founders.

You will be designing, developing, and maintaining a robust webapp platform, integrating frontend, backend, AI and cloud deployment.

You'll also help build the apps that our users interact with daily. This includes working on Single-Page Applications, Chrome Extensions, bots, and web servers.

What’s in it for you?

·
Join the founding team during a an exciting phase phase where you can shape how things are built and have direct impact on customers.

·
Receive an attractive compensation package with a competitive salary and the opportunity for equity.

·
Tackle exciting challenges using the latest technology to build modern and scalable software that just works.

·
Gain ownership and responsibility over projects in a dynamic, efficient, experienced small team focused on delivering high quality software at a rapid pace.

·
Work with cutting-edge technologies and modern stacks like FastAPI, Gleam, and JavaScript/TypeScript, with a focus on functional programming.

·
Collaborate with top-tier developers, including former engineers from Amazon, Morpho, and recognized OSS contributors.

Preferred Experience

We're looking for someone with:

·
Proficiency in frontend or backend while having minimal knowledge of both. We know full-stack is rare but we believe one should have minimal knowledge of both while being an expert in either frontend or backend

·
A “You build it you run it.” mentality. You take ownership of the end to end development process from design to development all the way to deployment.

·
A passion for tech and writing code balanced with the pragmatism needed to deliver value to customers.

·
Experience with functional programming languages like Gleam, Haskell, OCaml, Lisp, Elixir, or functional JavaScript.

·
Comfort with SQL, and an understanding that ORM tools aren't always the best fit for you.

·
A belief that web design is better with flexbox and grid layouts.

·
An appreciation for message brokers, everyone loves them!

·
Experience working with AWS or other cloud providers (Azure, GCP, etc.)

·
An understanding that Terraform can be challenging, but it's still better than managing AWS manually.
