About
Mithril Security is a deep tech startup at the forefront of cybersecurity and AI-driven automation . We specialize in data confidentiality and model protection, leveraging advanced secure enclaves (encryption-protected environments) to deploy AI algorithms with enhanced privacy and security for users.
In addition to our work in cybersecurity, we develop LaVague : AI Agents to automate routine, legacy tasks, enabling individuals and organizations to focus on what truly matters. We’re excited to launch the first version of LaVague, empowering a wide range of professionals—from Web Testing engineers who ensure websites function as intended, to automation specialists who manage complex web interactions and data collection.
This project is rapidly gaining traction and has become our primary business focus. With the upcoming launch of a managed platform for LaVague, we are significantly expanding the LaVague team to achieve our objectives, aiming to grow to a workforce of 50 within the next 12 months. Our team comprises highly skilled professionals, with 90% being AI experts, security engineers, and developers.
We are based in Paris's 8th arrondissement. We are a young, passionate team that holds regular after-work events.
Job Description
Context
Mithril mission is to secure AI processes using secure enclaves. Since these enclaves rely on hardware protection, we are investing in significant R&D projects to enhance server physical security. You will explore ways to improve the hardware and firmware security of existing servers by designing and implementing secure hardware architectures that protect our AI models and sensitive data against physical threats and unauthorized access.
Research and Enhance Hardware and Firmware Security:

Explore enhancements to hardware and firmware security for existing servers.
·
Research secure boot processes and secure over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates with cryptographic verification.
·
Assess and propose methods to utilize hardware security features of GPUs and CPUs to prevent unauthorized firmware and software execution.
·
Evaluate the feasibility of incorporating new hardware features, such as high-sensitivity GPS modules with anti-spoofing measures.
·
Investigate designs for secure server enclosures with intrusion detection and countermeasures against physical attacks.
·
Create detailed specifications and whitepapers on secure hardware architectures to protect AI models and sensitive data.
Industry Engagement
·
Collaborate with External Partners: Work with hardware manufacturers, security experts, and industry partners to discuss and refine hardware security solutions. Present your findings and incorporate feedback to improve our security proposals and strategies.

Stay Current with Technological Advances Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in hardware and firmware security.

Understanding of side-channel attacks and implementation of countermeasures.
·
Familiarity with hardware security certifications (e.g., FIPS 140-3, Common Criteria) would be a plus.
Additional Assets:

Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and their secure implementation.

Use of tools for data sniffing, decryption, and hardware debugging .
·
Participation in security competitions , CTFs, or receipt of relevant awards.

Certifications in hardware security, embedded systems, or cybersecurity
